St. Peter's Episcopal Church To Present Festival Of 9 Lessons, Carols
The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols is suited to families with children as well as adults.
Get ready to ring in the Christmas season with carols and festivities.
Saint Peter’s Episcopal Church will present a Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols on Saturday, Dec. 14, at 5p.m. in the sanctuary, at 271 Roseland Ave. in Essex Fells.
This traditional festival service began in England in the 1880’s in order to provide a place for all people, regardless of religious tradition, to join in the Christmas celebration.

Readings from nine lessons from scripture are interspersed with appropriate carols and hymns led by the Saint Peter’s combined choirs and bell choir.
The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols is suited to families with children as well as adults. All are welcome regardless of religious faith. A reception will follow.
