Caldwell, West Caldwell Celebrate Christmas Tree And Menorah Lightings

With December comes the annual Christmas tree and menorah lightings in the Caldwells. 

The West Caldwell-Caldwell Recreation Department will have two Christmas tree lightings this year. 

Caldwell — Christmas Tree Lighting

Caldwell’s tree lighting will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 5 p.m. on the Town Green in Caldwell. The Caldwell Volunteer Fire Department will welcome the arrival of Santa Claus with his helpers, and there will be a sing-a-long of holiday songs, provided by DJ Joe Garamella, before the lighting of the holiday tree. 

Afterward everyone is invited back to the Caldwell Firehouse for refreshments and to visit Santa.  A holiday auction will be held to benefit the Caldwell Volunteer Fire Department Children’s Education Fund.

West Caldwell — Christmas Tree Lighting 

West Caldwell’s tree lighting will take place on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 5 p.m. at the gazebo in Crane Park. Santa is scheduled to arrive at 5:15 pm. Pictures with Santa will follow at the Civic Center, located on the corner of Fairfield Avenue just off of Bloomfield Avenue. 

The West Caldwell lighting is being assisted by the West Caldwell Fire Department. Santa and his helpers will perform the task of lighting the gazebo tree, and DJ Joe Garamella will provide the holiday music. The Civic Center tree in West Caldwell was erected and secured by Broheimer Tree Experts. 

Caldwell, West Caldwell — Menorah Lighting

The West Caldwell-Caldwell Recreation Department will sponsor a menorah lighting on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 4:15pm at the West Caldwell Civic Center. Rabbi Alan Silverstein of Agudath Israel will be conducting the ceremony.
