Ron Albanese

About Ron

Ron resided in the Caldwells throughout childhood, and proudly notes he atteneded Roosevelt School for a couple of years ("I'm that old!"). He took part in the standard kids' stuff like playing sports in town, and with his pals "The Whitaker Boys" would regularly explore what he calls "a major portion" of West Caldwell, Caldwell, and North Caldwell from the woods and neighborhoods to the stores.

He later left the area, but has returned with extensive writing (and editing) experience ... and his fondness and memories of the Caldwells intact. He also feels there's a lot to write about in the towns. "I've lived all over New Jersey," he says, "and the area holds up - a great place with great people."

Here at patch, he will cover various aspects of life in the Caldwells, including restaurants, and a special "Remember When" feature.
