Ellen Coughlin is happy to return to her journalism roots. She received a BA in Communications from Fordham University and a MBA in marketing from Baruch College. She spent the first 15 years of her career in advertising, with her last job as a VP, Assistant Media Director at Ogilvy & Mather Advertising. She has written features and profiles for The Newark Star Ledger and various community newspapers.
When not writing for The Patch or working at the West Caldwell library, Ellen spends most of her time shuttling her three children to their various activities and volunteering at their schools. She enjoys spending time with her family, and watching her children play sports.
Ellen lives in West Caldwell with her husband Chris, their three children, and her cat Jewel.
