A section of Stonybrook Road in West Caldwell will be closed for emergency work this week, township officials announced Tuesday. "Due to damage resulting from a major water main break last week, Stonybrook Road will be milled and paved between Annin Road and Oates Terrace on Wednesdsay, April 10, starting at 7 a.m.," according to a message posted on the township website. The section of the road between Annin and Oates will be closed during repair work. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to plan an alternate route. The work is expected to be completed by 4 p.m.

The West Caldwell Police Department is advising drivers to avoid the intersection of Bloomfield and Passaic Avenues Tuesday morning. Utility crews are working on water main breaks in the intersection. Heavy delays are expected. The area should be avoided until approximately 10 a.m. Tuesday.
