When it comes to reality television, New Jersey is well-known for the Jersey Shore crew, outrageous hair stylists and outspoken housewives. But starting next week, the Garden State's image really starts to slip thanks to TLC's new series, Jersey on Ice. The reality show hones in on the cut-throat world of competitive figure skating, where young women need to have grace, athleticism and thick skin. The latter is due to tough coaches the likes of Deana Sroka and her sister Andrea who, according to TLC, believe another term for second place is first loser. From the producers of Four Weddings, the show takes four passionate homeowners and allows them to show off their homes architecture, design and décor to one another. Each participant will then give their input on one another's homes with the opportunity to win $10,000—for themselves or for a favorite charity—and have their homes featured in a prominent Home and Garden magazine.
