Rite Aid to Close in Caldwell
Prescriptions will be accepted at Walgreens.
The Rite Aid pharmacy in Caldwell will close before the end of the month, according to signs posted around the store Friday. The signs state the store will close on March 23. Starting March 24, prescriptions will be transfered to the Walgreens on Passaic Avenue in West Caldwell. Inventory on the store shelves was beginning to look lower than usual on Friday morning, when customers were walking in and expressing regrets about the store closing. Messages left with Rite Aid corporate offices were not immediately returned. The Rite Aid is the latest chain store to close in the Caldwells. Last month, Blockbuster Video in West Caldwell closed. Ace Hardware and Friendly's moved out in 2011.
