Winning $338M Powerball Ticket Sold in New Jersey

State lottery officials will announce the name of retailer who sold winning ticket Monday.

It may have taken 13 Powerball drawings before a winner was found, but someone in New Jersey woke up a bit richer this morning — $338.3 million richer. After a Virginia man stepped forward on Feb. 6 to claim a $217 million jackpot, the jackpot kept rolling over until Saturday night’s winner, according to a report on CBSNews.com. New Jersey Lottery officials said Sunday details about the winning ticket would be released Monday, March 25 at 10 a.m. at state lottery headquarters in Lawrenceville, including the name of the retailer who sold the winning ticket. Week in Review: Hazmat Cleanup, Pedestrian Safety Operation, School Survival Guide

Here's what you may have missed this week.

Police snagged dozens of motorists for failing to stop for pedestrians in Caldwell crosswalks Thursday. The blitz was part of an operation designed to educate police officers, but it turned out to be a lesson for drivers, too. Concerns over a chemical spill in Caldwell snarled traffic on Bloomfield Avenue Thursday while local and county officials conducted an investigation. The Essex County Hazmat Unit, based out of Nutley, checked storm drains across half the town, as well as the nearby county park pond, but found that a cleaning product discovered in one storm drain had not spread. Winning Lottery Ticket Purchased in Caldwell

New Jersey Lottery says check your tickets.

A winning $255,603 Cash 5 ticket was purchased in Caldwell Tuesday night, according to a Facebook post by the New Jersey Lottery. According to the post, the ticket was sold at Shoppers Express, a convenience store at 155 Roseland Ave., in Caldwell.  The winning Jersey Cash 5 numbers were 2, 24, 25, 27 and 38 for Tuesday, Sept. 4.  Could you be the lucky winner?
