The James Caldwell High School Madrigal Singers had their debut at Radio City Musical Hall Wednesday. The singing group was asked to perform on the world-famous New York stage before the Rockette's Radio City Christmas Spectacular. They chose a five-minute acapella medley with a bell theme that included snippets of “Ding-a-Ding-a-Ding,” “Ding Dong Merrily on High” and “Jingle Bells." The Madrigal singers are led by choral director Elsie Timpson. Hear the students sing in this video taken by a proud parent in the audience.

The Madrigal Singers from James Caldwell High School in West Caldwell have been invited to perform at Radio City Musical Hall in New York on Wednesday, Dec. 12. The group will perform a five-minute acapella medley of bell songs, including “Ding-a-Ding-a-Ding,” “Ding Dong Merrily on High” and “Jingle Bells,” as part of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. The Rockettes are celebrating the 85th anniversary of the great New York City holiday tradition this season. My daughter sang with this group. They are hard workers, they love what they do, and Elsie Timpson is extremely knowledgable about music. Kudos to these great kids! more ›
