The West Caldwell Public Library will hold the fourth annual "Family Fun in the Park" on Sunday, August 19. The event will take place from noon to 3 p.m. in Crane Park. There will be Plinko, frisbee fling, and bean bag toss, as well as children's crafts and face painting. Magician David Corsaro will perform a magic show at 12:30 p.m. Then, from 1:30 to 3 p.m., the popular local band Stephanie White and Company will perform in the Gazebo. They are known for playing pop, rock and jazz by such musicians as Jason Mraz, Aerosmith, Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Roy Orbison and Alicia Keys. Photos from Tramps Like Us concert in West Caldwell.
New Jersey loves its native son Bruce Springsteen. So it's no surprise that the Springsteen cover band, Tramps Like Us, attracted the biggest crowd to date to the West Caldwell Gazebo this summer. The performance was sponsored by ShopRite of West Caldwell, which provided food for the night. The free West Caldwell Gazebo concert season ends next Thursday, August 9, with the Next Stage Ensemble performing Shakespeare.

The Caldwell Public Library kicked off its free Summer Concert Series last week with a performance by members of the Bloomfield Mandolin Orchestra. It was standing room only for the program, which included many Italian favorites with a solo played by Caldwell's own, Franco DiGangi of Franco's Barber Shop. The series continues on the next three Wednesdays. Jimmy Buffett tribute band, Parrot Beach, delights audience as part of Gazebo concert series.
Concert-goers sang along to Jimmy Buffett songs at Crane Park as the West Caldwell free Gazebo concert series continued on Thursday night. The tribute band Parrot Beach also played popular songs from Sam Cooke, Van Morrison and Lionel Richie as fans danced and clapped along at the concert sponsored by Stop & Shop. The park opened at 6:30 and visitors could buy sandwiches and snacks, along with Rita's Italian Ice for dessert, and the music started playing around 7:30 p.m. Proceeds from the food sale were going to be donated to the West Essex First Aid Squad, whose members were on hand for any emergencies.
