Local Celebrities Shine at Second Dancing With Our Community Stars (Video)

Results from Saturday night's fundraiser for Caldwell-West Caldwell Education Foundation.

After more than two hours of performances, Jensyn Modero and Jonathan Barrett were named the Top Female and Top Male dancers in the second season of the Caldwell-West Caldwell Education Foundation's Dancing With Our Community Stars Saturday night. Modero delighted the judges and audience with her tap dancing in "Singing in the Rain" and everyone flipped for Barrett's high-energy performance to "Party Rock Anthem" and "Gangnam Style." Fourteen local "celebrities" paired with professional dancers from Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Montville gave it their all to raise funds for Caldwell-West Caldwell Schools.  The "People's Choice" award went to top fundraiser Leslie List, who has three children in the school district. 'Kiss Me Kate' Sneak Peek Saturday at James Caldwell High School (Video)

Performing arts students two preview two numbers from upcoming spring musical.

James Caldwell High School performing arts students will offer a preview of their upcoming spring musical, "Kiss Me Kate," Saturday night during Caldwell-West Caldwell Education Foundation's Dancing With Our Community Stars.  The competition/fundraiser for the school district starts at 7 p.m. and will feature 14 local "celebrities" paired with professional dancers from Fred Astaire Montville. They'll compete for Top Male, Top Female and People's Choice awards.  The cast of "Kiss Me Kate" will perform three numbers, "Another Openin', Another Show," "We Open in Venice," and "Too Darn Hot." The spring musical is scheduled for March 21-24.

The Caldwell-West Caldwell Education Foundation will present the second annual "Dancing With Our Community Stars" fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 23, at James Caldwell High School's Center for Performing Arts. Fourteen local "celebrities" will dance the tango, salsa, hustle and more to raise money for Caldwell-West Caldwell schools.  One male and one female will be named topped dancer and walk away with a mirror ball trophy. Tickets are now on sale for the second annual Caldwell-West Caldwell Education Foundation’s “Dancing With Our Community Stars,” which will take place on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 7 p.m., at James Caldwell High School's Center for Performing Arts in West Caldwell. In the spirit of the popular ABC show “Dancing with the Stars,” community celebrities will be paired with professional dancers of the Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Montville to compete before a panel of judges to win the mirror ball trophies for best male and best female dancer.
