Caldwell College Celebrates 71st Commencement Saturday

Caldwell College will celebrate its 71st commencement Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in the George R. Newman Center on the campus.   The day will mark a milestone for the college as it awards its first-ever doctoral degrees. Eric Rozenblat, of Oakland, and Denise Kerth, Collingswood, will receive Ph.D.s in applied behavior analysis. A graduation Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in the center. Caldwell College to Award First Doctoral Degrees

Two members of Class of 2013 will receive Ph.D.s in applied behavior analysis.

Caldwell College will award its first-ever doctoral degrees on Saturday, May 11, at the college’s 71st annual commencement.  Eric Rozenblat, of Oakland, and Denise Kerth, of Collingswood, will receive Ph.D.s in applied behavior analysis. The ceremony will take place at 11:30 a.m. in the George R. Newman Center on campus, following a graduation Mass at 9:30 a.m. in the center. The graduate student commencement address will be given by Gulay Maffia, who survived the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 while working at One World Trade Center. Maffia, a resident of Vernon, will receive her master’s degree in special education, learning disabilities teacher consultant. She will share how surviving Sept. 11 caused her to rethink her life and put…

The following Valedictory Address was given by Herminio "Jet" Navia III, Valedictorian of West Essex Regional High School Class of 2012. Commencement was held on Sunday, June 17. Good evening. As many of you already know, my name is Herminio Navia III, or Jet, and it is truly a great honor to be here as one of the voices of the Class of 2012 tonight. The following address was delivered by Caldwell College Student Government President Olga Ndhlovu at the 70th Annual Commencement on May 20, 2012. Thank you professor Mann for introducing me. In her commencement address Sunday, Olga Ndhlovu encouraged fellow members of Caldwell College's Class of 2012 to take risks and not fear the uncertainty which lies ahead.   "When you find yourself feeling uncertain, do not, and I repeat, do not be afraid to take a risk. Why would you not take a risk? Fear of failure?," Ndhlovu said, adding a lesson she learned from her spiritual adviser. "Dr. Noone would say, the only time that you fail is if you do not learn from the experience." Caldwell College Commencement Set for May 20

College will present an honorary degree to Sister Arlene T. Antczak.

Caldwell College will hold its commencement ceremonies on Sunday, May 20, at 11:30 a.m., in the George R. Newman Center on campus. The college will present an honorary degree to Sister Arlene T. Antczak, O.P., prioress of the Sisters of Saint Dominic of Caldwell and a dedicated member of the Caldwell College board of trustees. The commencement address will be given by graduating senior and Student Government President Olga Ndhlovu of Bergenfield.  Caldwell College will confer degrees on the Class of 2012.
