Lanfrank Steps Down as Caldwell-West Caldwell Education Foundation Chairman

Board of Education honors Caldwell resident for her efforts for the district.

The Caldwell-West Caldwell Board of Education Monday night honored Marie Lanfrank, founding member and chairman of the district’s educational foundation. Lanfrank stepped down earlier this year from her position as chairman of the Caldwell-West Caldwell Education Foundation after leading the organization since its inception in 2007. Over the years, Lanfrank said, the not-for-profit group of volunteers has raised more than $150,000 for the district, mostly through special events such as Taste of the Caldwells and Dancing With Our Community Stars. Board of Education President Mary Davidson personally thanked Lanfrank Monday before presenting her with a proclamation from the board. Davidson said it was Lanfrank who brought the idea of …

Auto Dealer Donates $1,000 to Caldwell-West Caldwell Education Foundation

DeCozen Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Verona will donate $200 to a local education foundation each time a resident purchases a car.

DeCozen Chrysler Jeep Dodge has donated $1,000 each to the Caldwell-West Caldwell Education Foundation and the Verona Foundation for Educational Excellence. The Verona dealership kicked off a partnership with the districts at the start of March agreeing to make a donation to the foundations each time a resident from their towns purchased a car. In March, five residents from Verona and five from Caldwell-West Caldwell purchased cars from DeCozen. The partnership continues through the end of May. Car Purchases Will Raise Money for Caldwell-West Caldwell Schools

DeCozen Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Verona partnering with the Verona and Caldwell-West Caldwell School districts to make a donation every time a resident buys a car.

Caldwell, West Caldwell and Verona residents will have the opportunity to help out their school districts while driving off the lot in their brand new car. DeCozen Chrysler Jeep Dodge, located at 225 Bloomfield Ave. in Verona, will be partnering with the Verona and Caldwell-West Caldwell School districts by making donations every time a resident makes a car purchase. Local Celebrities Shine at Second Dancing With Our Community Stars (Video)

After more than two hours of performances, Jensyn Modero and Jonathan Barrett were named the Top Female and Top Male dancers in the second season of the Caldwell-West Caldwell Education Foundation's Dancing With Our Community Stars Saturday night. Modero delighted the judges and audience with her tap dancing in "Singing in the Rain" and everyone flipped for Barrett's high-energy performance to "Party Rock Anthem" and "Gangnam Style." Fourteen local "celebrities" paired with professional dancers from Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Montville gave it their all to raise funds for Caldwell-West Caldwell Schools.  The "People's Choice" award went to top fundraiser Leslie List, who has three children in the school district. Tickets are now on sale for the second annual Caldwell-West Caldwell Education Foundation’s “Dancing With Our Community Stars,” which will take place on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 7 p.m., at James Caldwell High School's Center for Performing Arts in West Caldwell. Gerardi, Skopak Present Check to Caldwell-West Caldwell Education Foundation

Former superintendent and business administrator make guest appearance at Board of Education meeting.

Daniel Gerardi and Ronald Skopak retired from their positions as superintendent and business administrator of Caldwell-West Caldwell Schools at the end of June with a combined 69 years of service.  The longtime colleagues and close friends made a guest appearance at Monday night's Caldwell-West Caldwell Board of Education meeting to make a presentation to the Caldwell-West Caldwell Education Foundation (CWCEF). Foundation Awards $32K in Grants

Caldwell-West Caldwell Education Foundation tops $100K mark with this year's 10 grants.

Lessons on everything from elections, classic literature and new technology will be enhanced this school year thanks to grants awarded to Caldwell-West Caldwell Schools by the Caldwell-West Caldwell Education Foundation (CWCEF). The Foundation announced this week that 10 grants totalling $32,000 will help create new and enhanced learning opportunities for students in grades K through 12. “With the awards granted this year, the Foundation has awarded more than $100,000 in grants to the Caldwell-West Caldwell School District,” stated Marie Lanfrank, CWCEF president, this week in a press release. “The grants finance programs and projects that would not have been funded or realized through the normal budget.” The foundation raises money …
