Essex County Vocational School at West Caldwell
973-412-2205
The Essex County Vocational-Technical Schools' West Caldwell Tech Campus is a full-time academic program driven by the New Jersey State Core Curriculum Content Standards and is designed to provide all of the state-mandated requirements for high school graduation and admission to both two- and four-year colleges.
In 2008-09, students obtained the highest scores on state-mandated examinations in the school's history. In addition, the vocational-technical offerings distinguish the school from traditional high schools. West Caldwell Tech offers students the ability to obtain marketable skills in areas such as Culinary Arts, Cosmetology, Business Technology or Automobile Technology while obtaining an academic education.
As the only school in Essex County to provide a shared-time program, West Caldwell Tech welcomes students who have chosen to attend their local high school for academics and attend West Caldwell Tech for vocational-technical training.

This school does not have many teacher that care about learning ability for other student. There are many students that don't take learning seriously but some of these people in the school don't really help or do much to help the student. They believe that they are getting paid and they don't have to make any effort to help any of the students that are falling behind. This school needs to find a way to weed out the students that just don't want to be there attending that school; that do not desire good grades and those that do not value the respect of others or the respect that is given.
