The WEAA Awards Artists in 28th Annual Juried Art Exhibition
The West Essex Art Association is pleased to announce the winners of their 28th annual Open Juried Exhibition held at the Crane’s Mill Town Square Gallery, 459 Passaic Ave., West Caldwell, NJ. The 56 entries, by area artists, include sculpture and work in oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, collage and mixed media.
The awards were presented by Association President, Constance Seugling and Show Chair, Louise Woodcox at a reception held at the Saturday January 25th. The judge for the show was noted artist, Christina Debarry.
The Best in Show award was presented to West Caldwell artist, Todd Barnes, for his marker drawing entitled “Millbrook Willow”.

John A. Sullivan Memorial Award – “Shining Conclusion” by Anita Gladstone, Springfield
The “Progress” Award – “Veggiescape” by Carolina Medina, North Caldwell
Anthony Bongiovanni – Micro Strategies Award – “Raven” by Chou Min-Liu, Cedar Grove
Jeanne Hermann Saslow Memorial Award – “Hint of Spring” by Mary J. Kramarenko, East Windsor
Carlee & Woody Walker Memorial Award – “Mountain Path” by Rita Agron, North Caldwell
Edna Esenlohr Memorial Merit Award – “Winter Peace” by Jane Ballinger, Cedar Grove
Huggett Family Merit Award – “The Gathering Storm” by Harriet Hiller, Livingston
Libby Schmidt Memorial Award – “Wild Garden” by Isabella Pizzano, Denville
The Cutting Edge Merit Award – “Meditation” by Phyllis Huggett, North Caldwell
Ken & Dina LaBarre Memorial Merit Award – “Secret Garden” by Louise Woodcox, Fairfield
