Free Parking In Caldwell

Caldwell is encouraging residents to shop local this holiday season with free parking along Bloomfield Avenue.

Parking meters on and near the main thoroughfare will be bagged through Jan. 1, so forget the pocket change at home and don't worry about feeding the meters.

But don't think you can keep your car parked on Bloomfield Avenue all day for free. There is a three-hour parking limit for all bagged meters.

Caldwell Tree Lighting On Saturday

Caldwell’s tree lighting will be held on Saturday at 5 p.m. on the Town Green in Caldwell. The Caldwell Volunteer Fire Department will welcome the arrival of Santa Claus with his helpers, and there will be a sing-a-long of holiday songs, provided by DJ Joe Garamella, before the lighting of the holiday tree.

The church will have a room filled with many different varieties of home baked cookies and breads. Pick as much or as little as you need!

There will also be raffle tickets on sale for a cookie castle and a cookie house. They would make the perfect centerpiece to set the festive holiday atmosphere!
