Veterans Day, Parent-Teacher Conferences Tuesday And More

Monday is Veterans Day. Take the time to honor America's veterans of past and current wars for their patriotism and willingness to serve.

West Caldwell will host its annual memorial in honor of Veteran's Day Monday, at 9 a.m. at the Gazebo at Crane Park. 

North Caldwell, Caldwell and West Caldwell government offices will be closed on Monday. 

In addition, North Caldwell has canceled bulk pick-up on Monday; it will be rescheduled for Monday, Nov. 18. Regular garbage will be picked up. 

The Caldwell-West Caldwell Board of Education will meet Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the district's administration building at Harrison School, at 104 Gray St. in West Caldwell. The agenda for this meeting has yet to be posted on the district's website.

The North Caldwell Council will meet Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at borough hall. 

Elementary and pre-schoolers with disabilities in Caldwell-West Caldwell School District will have early dismissal on Tuesday and Thursday for parent-teacher conferences. Students will have school during the following hours:

  • Elementary students in grades 1-5: 8:45 a.m.-1 p.m. 
  • AM Pre-school Disabilities: 9 10 a.m.
  • PM Pre-school Disabilities: 10:30-11:30 a.m. 
  • Full Day Pre-school Disabilities: 9-11:30 a.m. 

Stop by the Caldwell Public Library Tuesday and meet new Library Director Barb Hauck-Mah at 6 p.m. Chat with the new director, enjoy free refreshments and share your thoughts and suggestions for the library. For more information, call 973-226-2837 or visit caldwellpl.org

Caldwell College will host a free information session for its adult undergraduate and graduate schools at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Meet and discuss your program of choice with a program coordinator in an informal atmosphere, learn more about Caldwell College's admission and program requirements and more. Application fees are waived for attendees.
