Curbside leaf collection for Caldwell residents has begun. For the full street-by-street collection schedule, click here. 

The Caldwell-West Caldwell Board of Education will meet Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the district's administration building at Harrison School, at 104 Gray St. in West Caldwell. The agenda for this meeting has yet to be posted on the district's website. 

Get ready for your weekend garage/yard/estate sale by filling out this easy (and free!) form on Monday. Patch will use the information build an interactive map for people to find your weekend sale. 

The West Caldwell-Caldwell Recreation Department will sponsor a menorah lighting on Tuesday at 4:15pm at the West Caldwell Civic Center. Rabbi Alan Silverstein of Agudath Israel will be conducting the ceremony.

Grover Cleveland Middle School will have an early dismissal on Tuesday for parent-teacher conferences. For more information, call the school at (973) 228-9115. 

The Caldwell Borough Council will convene on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at borough hall, 1 Provost Square. 

The West Caldwell Council will meet on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in town hall, at 30 Clinton Road. 

Celebrate the holiday season with the High School Honor Band and Caldwell College Wind Ensemble and Choir on Friday. The winter concert will begin at 8 p.m. at Caldwell College Student Center Auditorium, 120 Bloomfield Avenue, Caldwell. 

The concert series will feature works by New Jersey composer Joseph Turrin and an international Christmas celebration and culminating with the annual carol sing along, under the direction of Laura Greenwald and Rebecca Vega. Caldwell’s tree lighting will be held on Saturday at 5 p.m. on the Town Green in Caldwell. The Caldwell Volunteer Fire Department will welcome the arrival of Santa Claus with his helpers, and there will be a sing-a-long of holiday songs, provided by DJ Joe Garamella, before the lighting of the holiday tree. 

The James Caldwell High School swim team is sponsoring a holiday fair on Saturday in the high school cafeteria between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Proceeds from the fair will help go toward scholarships for high school seniors.

Shop from a wide variety of vendors plus that day and bring your unwanted gold jewelry and get cash on the spot! Various Chiefs merchandise will be available, in addition to poinsettias, baked goods, fake tattoos for the kids, hourly giveaways and more! 

West Caldwell’s tree lighting will take place on Sunday at 5 p.m. at the gazebo in Crane Park. Santa is scheduled to arrive at 5:15 pm. Pictures with Santa will follow at the Civic Center, located on the corner of Fairfield Avenue just off of Bloomfield Avenue.
