Municipal Alliance Fundraiser to Honor Bill Payne

6th Annual Three-on-Three basketball tournament will pay tribute to longtime supporter and volunteer.

The Caldwell/West Caldwell Municipal Alliance will host its on Friday, April 29, at the Newman Athletic Center on the campus of Caldwell College. This tournament, which has been a leading fundraiser for the organization, helps support Municipal Alliance initiatives.

The Municipal Alliance is a collaborative effort among law enforcement, schools and the community. The main goal of the Alliance is the prevention of substance abuse, such as alcohol and other types of drugs. Over the past few years, the Alliance has also broadened its awareness campaigns to include bullying, peer pressure and overall health and wellness.

This year’s fundraiser is a very special one. This past November, our community tragically lost one of its leading Municipal Alliance members, . Bill was a driving force for not only the Municipal Alliance, but many other community related programs. In years past, Bill worked tirelessly to make the Three-on-Three fundraiser a success. This year’s fundraiser will pay special tribute to a man who gave so much to his community.
