What's Happening on the 4th of July

Will be a busy day from the ice cream social to the fireworks display.

Happy 4th of July! You may be off of work and camps are closed, but today is not a day to sit around. Make it a stay-cation! There's a lot going on from a cool car show in Livingston to tonight's fireworks at James Caldwell High School. Here are some ideas for a perfect 4th of July itinerary:

A day of old-fashioned fun with magicians, balloons, street theater, vintage games, a DJ, a BBQ and ice cream. Plus, new this year, a . Festivities move inside gymnasium in the event of rain.

Gates open at 7 p.m. Fireworks begin at dusk. Rain date is Saturday, July 7.
