Westville Pool Will Stay Open Past Labor Day
The local pool will keep its gates open through Saturday, Sept. 7.
You won't have to put those swim trunks away at the end of Labor Day weekend this year.
The Westville Pool will remain open after the holiday that traditionally marks the end of the pool season in town. The pool gates will open daily from Tuesday, Sept. 3, through Saturday, Sept. 7, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Cedar Street Pool will still close for the season on Sunday, Sept. 2.
The West Caldwell Recreation Department decided to keep the pool operating during the first week of September because the first day of school does not begin until the following week on Sept. 9.
The Jewish new year Rosh Hashanah is Sept. 4-6 this year, which delayed the opening of school until the second week in September.
