West Caldwell-Caldwell Fall Sports Registration Begins

West Caldwell-Caldwell Recreation Department now accepting registration for soccer, cross country and girls volleyball.

The West Caldwell-Caldwell Recreation Department is now accepting registration for fall sports.

The following programs are available for children who live in Caldwell and West Caldwell:

Youth Soccer—Grades 2-8

All children in grades 2 through 8 are welcome to participate in the Recreation Soccer Program. Volunteer parent coaches are needed. Program starts after the school year. Fee is $45 (2nd and 3rd), $55 (4th and 5th) and $65 (6th, 7th and 8th). 

Cross Country—Grades 4-8

Cross country running is a sport in which runners race on open-air courses in parks. This distance running sport will be supervised by Lisa Merriweather. The program takes place at  (meets at pond house) on Mondays and Thursdays from Sept. 13 through Nov. 1, from 5:45 to 7:30 p.m. Cost is $40. Registration deadline is Friday, Sept. 7.

Volleyball—Girls in Grades 6-8

The first few sessions of Recreation Volleyball consists of practices and tryouts, after which a travel team (seventh and eighth grade girls only) will be picked. The remainder of the girls will be placed on teams to play in an in-town league. The program takes place Tuesdays and Thursdays from September to November in the  gym. Cost is $55 (additional $45 for travel team members).

Pre-K through Grade 1 soccer is run by the Caldwell Soccer Club (not the Recreation Department). When information is available, it will be emailed out.
