Swimming Chiefs to Compete in Meet of Champions

Four boys from James Caldwell High School heading to Gloucester Institute of Technology to compete against top swimmers in the state.

Four boys from the Swimming Chiefs will represent James Caldwell High School at the New Jersey High School Meet of Champions on Saturday, March 2 at Gloucester Institute of Technology.  

Junior David Burton will swim two individual events, the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly. Junior Danny McCarthy will swim one individual, the 50 freestyle.

Burton and McCarthy will join senior Jon Krippahne and junior Andrew Canavan to swim the 200-freestyle relay. The foursome broke the school’s 12-year-old record in the 200-freestyle relay this season.

The four swimmers will also compete in the 200-medley relay.
