James Caldwell High Girls Win Cross Country Title, Boys Soccer Defeats Newark Academy

The highs school girls volleyball team defeated also West Orange on Tuesday.

It's been a busy and successful week thus far for James Caldwell High School athletic teams. 

The girls cross country team won the Colonial Division Championship for on Tuesday for the second year in a row. The boys team placed second.

The girls volleyball team defeated West Orange. The girls will move on and face Livingston High School in the Essex County Tournament Semi Finals at Bloomfield High School on Friday at 6:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, the high school tennis team was defeated 2-3 in the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association Sectional Quarterfinals in Rutherford. 

Boys soccer defeated Newark Academy, but it took penalty kicks to decide the game late Tuesday evening. The boys team will now advance to the Essex County Tournament Quarterfinals. THe game has not been scheduled yet.

The James Caldwell High School girls soccer team will play home on Friday against Columbia High School at 4 p.m in the first round of the Essex County Tournament on Bonnel Field. If rain is an issue, the girls will play at the Oval.
