NJ Rock Gym Summer Mini Camp

2012 Mini-Camp Program

The New Jersey Rock Gym is once again offering an exciting and challenging Summer Mini-Camp for boys and girls ages 7-14.

A series of 2-week summer sessions will begin the week of June 25 and concludes August 17, 2012. Campers enroll for two or more days per week, for a minimum of two weeks. Discounts will be given when registering for multiple sessions.

Camp hours are Monday through Friday 9:30am to 1:30pm (no early morning drop-offs). Each day will consist of 2 1/2 hours of climbing, 1 hour of Sports, and 1/2 hour for lunch. All equipment will be supplied for both the rock climbing and sports fitness programs

The Climbing Program focuses on proper equipment use, basic climbing techniques and safety while building strength, balance, flexibility, concentration and problem solving. Campers will gain experience in two styles of climbing (top rope and bouldering) utilizing the most innovative climbing structures in the Northeast. NJ Rock gym's professional staff conducts this highly instructional program.

The Sports Program, is all about learning and fun, with sports like soccer, volleyball, tug-of-war, relay races, basketball, kickball, and badminton. The program also includes cooperative games which leads to a better understanding of structured sports and teamwork. Campers learn the basic rules for each activity and increase their physical strength, awareness and health while participating.

Choose from the following Sessions:*
Session 1: June 25 - July 6
Session 2: July 9 - July 20
Session 3: July 23 - August 3
Session 4: August 6 - August 17

*Special Accommodations for Vacation Schedules. Campers may enroll for consecutive and non-consecutive weeks.
