Caldwell College's Taylor Zaeske Named Rookie Of The Week

Taylor Zaeske leads the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Volleyball with 106 kills and ranks second in the league with 3.53 kills per set.

A Caldwell College freshman has been named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's rookie of the week for volleyball. 

Outside hitter Taylor Zaeske, of Milwaukee, Wis., was selected as the rookie of the week on Sunday, Sept. 15. Zaeske averaged 3.80 kills and 2 digs per set over six matches last week.

In Caldwell’s first CACC match of the season, Zaeske tallied 14 kills and a .435 hitting percentage in a 3-0 victory at Felician.

She also had a career-high 19 kills, 10 digs and four service aces in a 5-set triumph at the Pace Tournament against the host Setters. At Caldwell's next game on Sept. 14, Zaeske registered a career-best 12 digs to go with 18 kills in a 3-2 loss to American International.

Through nine matches this season, Zaeske leads the CACC with 106 kills and ranks second in the league with 3.53 kills per set. 

Zaeske and the Cougars played and won their first home match of the season on Tuesday, Sept. 17 against Concordia College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate.  Conference match.
