Anderson Scores 1,000th Point as Cougars Beat Queens, 69-63

Junior forward becomes 15th woman to reach milestone in Caldwell College program's history.

Caldwell College junior forward Jeanette Anderson surpassed the 1,000-point mark Wednesday night when the Cougars defeated the Queens College Knights 69-63 in a non-conference home game.

Anderson, who hails from Lynn, Mass., entered the game two points shy of the milestone. Less than two minutes into the game, she grabbed an offensive rebound and scored, becoming the 15th woman in the program's history to reach 1,000 points.

The Cougars are 3-10 on the season. Their next home game is Saturday, Dec. 15, at 1 p.m., against Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference opponent Felician College.
