Local Resident Features Longtime Caldwells Barber In YouTube Video

A longtime barber on Bloomfield Avenue has seen the Caldwells progress during the last half century, but he seems to have stayed the same. 

Local resident Chris Crean highlighted barber Franco DiGangi in a recent YouTube video. DiGangi, who's well-known barbershop is located at 369 Bloomfield Ave. in Caldwell, began cutting hair in the small one-room storefront more than 50 years ago. 

Over the years, DiGangi has taken part in various clubs including starting his own called the Cannoli Club, participated in local theater in his younger days and is a musician. 

Now, DiGangi shows no sign of slowing down. The usual cast of local characters can be found hanging around the barbershop any day during the week.
