Spread the Word—JCHS Class of 1961 to Hold Reunion in October

Weekend full of activities in the works for 50th reunion.

James Caldwell High School’s Class of 1961 is planning its 50th high school reunion during the third weekend in October, according to an advertisement placed in the local weekly newspaper.

The reunion will rock-around-the-clock for three days, Oct. 14-16.

On Friday, Oct. 14, there are plans to get together at , West Caldwell, and meet and greet “old” classmates. There will be refreshments served and a chance to take a look around the school.

In the morning, on Saturday, Oct. 15, the Class of 1961 can tour , which previously served as the high school, to see what’s changed and what’s remained the same. In the afternoon, there will be a chance to show some school spirit during a Chiefs football game.

The main event will be Saturday night with a banquet at the Parsippany Sheraton. An old-fashioned jukebox will be part of the entertainment, playing oldies but goodies.

The reunion committee’s ad says the dress will be casual and there will be a cash bar.

For those who stay over at the Sheraton, Sunday will be all about breakfast and goodbyes.

To reserve a spot, JCHS Class of 1961 graduates should send a check for $90/person to Judy Parry, 100 Farmingdale Drive, Parsippany, NJ 07054.
