Seven Caldwell-West Caldwell Students Accepted Into Regional Chorus

Students will perform at Parsippany Hills High School on Sunday.

Seven Grover Cleveland Middle School students have been accepted into the North Jersey Music Educators Association Junior High School Region I Chorus, Scott Chamberlain, Supervisor of Music for the Caldwell-West Caldwell School District, announced.

Under the guidance of chorus director Deana Larsen, seventh graders Ken Axe, Ashvin Nagarajin, Brian Reilly and Jordan Whiting, and eighth graders Isabella Bellomo, Meredith Donlin and Jennifer Garamella auditioned and were accepted into the chorus.

Auditions were held on Feb. 2, where the students from the Caldwell-West Caldwell school auditioned with hundreds of performers from North Jersey.

Performers had to demonstrate a variety of vocal skills, including diatonic major scales and perform a memorized solo. Performers with the highest scores are accepted into the regional group. The students will perform in a concert at Parsippany Hills High School on Sunday, March 3, at 3 p.m.
