Pre-Schoolers Compete for Olympic Gold

Inaugural event held at Harrison School.

Students at Harrison School in West Caldwell celebrated the Winter Olympics by hosting the first annual Harrison School Olympics this month, participating in the ski jump, bean bag throw, Swiffer curling, two-person bobsled and more.

Students in Barbara Davidson’s, Mary Cofone’s, Lauren Gersten’s and Sheree Siegel’s pre-school classes came together for a friendly competition, and everyone was a gold medal winner.

The students, who range in age from three to six years, participated in the events at the school’s gymnasium. The events, a combination of individual and team events, focused on the use of fine and gross motor skills, while teaching the students about the Olympics.
