'James Caldwell' Facebook Profile a Phony

Superintendent alerts parents, although called 'James Caldwell,' it's unaffiliated with the school.

It has more than 3,600 followers, uses the Chiefs' mascot as a profile picture and includes loads of posts from James Caldwell High School alumni.

But, district officials are warning, the "James Caldwell" Facebook profile has nothing to do with the West Caldwell high school.

Caldwell-West Caldwell Schools Superintendent Daniel Gerardi alerted parents last week with following message:

"We have been informed by several community members and alumni that a page on Facebook exists with the name 'James Caldwell.' Individuals have accessed the page, which simulates school themes and colors, expecting to find information about our high school or former classmates at the school. However, most of the page is a posting of the author’s political and social viewpoints. Please be informed that this page is not associated with James Caldwell High School or the school district."

Many "friends" seem to believe the profile is sanctioned by the school. However, several have caught on, such as the guy who posted, "Looks like a lot of us 'friended' this bozo thinking it had something to do with JCHS. Consider yourself unfriended and reported."
