'Hero’s Guide to Saving Your Kingdom' Author Visits West Caldwell
Christopher Healy talks fairy tales, creative writing and more with Jefferson students.
Christopher Healy, author of The Hero’s Guide to Saving Your Kingdom, visited students at Jefferson School in West Caldwell last month.
Healy spoke to students about the role classic fairy tales have played in his writing. He also discussed how to modernize a fairy tale and led third, fourth and fifth grade students through creative writing exercises.
Each student received a copy of The Hero’s Guide to Saving Your Kingdom, which the author autographed after his presentation.

The Hero’s Guide to Saving Your Kingdom received starred reviews from Publisher’s Weekly and Kirkus Reviews, and was named a New York Times Notable Children’s Book for 2012.
