Gerardi, Skopak Present Check to Caldwell-West Caldwell Education Foundation

Former superintendent and business administrator make guest appearance at Board of Education meeting.

Daniel Gerardi and Ronald Skopak retired from their positions as superintendent and business administrator of Caldwell-West Caldwell Schools at the end of June with a combined 69 years of service.

The longtime colleagues and close friends made a guest appearance at Monday night's Caldwell-West Caldwell Board of Education meeting to make a presentation to the Caldwell-West Caldwell Education Foundation (CWCEF).

Gerardi and Skopak handed Marie Lanfrank, president of the CWCEF, a check for $4,007.45, representing proceeds from their retirement dinner held in June.

"If anyone deserves to receive gifts on their retirement it's Dan and Ron," said Superintendent James Heinegg, "and they chose to instead donate all of the proceeds of the retirement gala to the foundation."

Gerardi said, "We couldn't think of a more worthwhile organization to make this donation to."
