Early Dismissals For Caldwells, West Essex Schools Due To Snow

A winter storm warning for all of New Jersey is in effect from noon Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday.

With nearly a foot of snow expected to fall in Essex County, schools in the Caldwells and West Essex will have early dismissals Tuesday. 

The Caldwell-West Caldwell School District announced Tuesday morning students will be dismissed early due to the snow. Click here to see when each school will be let out

The YMCA after-school program will end at 1 p.m., and afternoon and evening activities are cancelled. 

The West Essex Regional School District also announced on its website that students will have an early dismissal Tuesday. 

In addition, the West Essex Foundation for Education meeting scheduled for Tuesday has been rescheduled to Tuesday, Jan. 28, at 7:30 p.m. due to the snow. The meeting will be held at the home of President Cari Moskowitz, at 178 Rensselaer Road in Essex Fells.

A winter storm warning for all of New Jersey is in effect from noon Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday with snow starting Tuesday morning and intensifying in the afternoon and evening hours, according to the National Weather Service.

The winter storm is expected to bring as much as 10 inches of snow by Wednesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
