District Reappoints Business Administrator, Hires Technology Supervisor

The Caldwell-West Caldwell Board of Education also announced the parking lot of Wilson Elementary School will be replaced this summer.

The board of education renewed the district’s board administrator's contract and hired a new technology supervisor at its reorganization meeting.  

Kerry Keane was unanimously reappointed as board administrator on Monday by the board. Keane began in the district in July 2012. The board administrator’s contract must be renewed annually, so her new contract extends through July 2013. 

“I want to thank Kerry for her first year,” said board president Mary Davidson. “She’s done a great job.”

Don Markese was also appointed as the district’s new supervisor of technology. Markese’s one-year contract will begin on July 1 and he will make $110,000. He is currently the director of technology at Freehold Regional High School in Englishtown.

The board also approved a contract for crews to replace the Wilson Elementary School parking lot.  

The school’s parking lot, located at 71 Orton Road, will be replaced, drainage will be updated and there will be additional lighting installed. Crews will begin work as soon as the students leave for the summer.
