Mount Saint Dominic (MSD) held its 116th annual commencement on Sunday, June 3, graduating 85 students, including 24 from the towns of Caldwell, Essex Fells, North Caldwell, and Roseland.
After the commencement in the Athletic Center, the 85 graduates processed outside to a blue sky and the applause of faculty and administrators.
Both the valedictorian, Lauren Paula Marozzi, and the salutatorian, Hannah Anita Umansky Castro, addressed their fellow graduates. Marozzi wil be attending Connecticut College while Catro will be heading to Harvard in the fall. Catherine Origlieri, M.D., a 1998 MSD graduate, was the commencement speaker.

Mount St. Dominic was established by the Sisters of St. Dominic in 1892 as a college preparatory school dedicated to the education of young women.
