What do you think it costs to rent in the Caldwells? Probably more than you think. 

The website Rich Blocks, Poor Blocks has broken down the rental costs in town and mapped them out using data from the American Community Survey, which is park of the most recent Census.

The website shows the median monthly rent various widely between each of the three Caldwells.

The most expensive place to rent is in West Caldwell, which has a monthly medium rent of $1,500. 

The cheapest place to rent out of the three Caldwells is in North Caldwell, which has a monthly medium rent of $746. In the middle is Caldwell, with a monthly medium rent of $1,261.

Maybe the Caldwells should consider themselves lucky because the cost of renting takes a jump in nearby Essex Fells and Roseland, which average $1,804 and $1,750 a month, respectively. 

The monthly median income in the state is estimated to be between $928 and $1,071. 

Rich Blocks, Poor Blocks also breaks down median household income by area in a separate color-coded map. The highest average household income is found in North Caldwell, which is $156,270. The lowest average income can be found in Caldwell, which is $75,827.
