Susan Vezza has been a resident of Caldwell for over 30 years. She has master's degrees in Special Education and Art Education from New Jersey City University and currently serves as a Learning Disability Teacher Consultant (LDTC ) for the Newark Public Schools. As a widow, Susan was able to balance building a successful career with raising her son, Michael, who graduated from James Caldwell High School and went on to earn a bachelor's and two master's degrees. Mrs. Vezza is a knowledgeable, caring and highly experienced educator as well as the founder and chief executive officer for Educational Specialized Associates, a State approved agency aimed at serving children with disabilities and their families. Ms. Vezza has been recruited both by New Jersey City University and Bloomfield College to teach in their teacher education programs and is a longtime member both of the Disabilities Association of America and the Council for Exceptional Children.
