Auxiliary Police Ordinance on Caldwell Council Agenda

Borough council meets Tuesday night at 7 p.m.

A Borough of Caldwell Council Business Meeting Tuesday night is scheduled to deal with a police auxiliary unit and apartment inspection.

The Caldwell Council agenda for the 7 p.m. Tuesday meeting shows that the council is expected to issue a raffle license for the Caldwell-West Caldwell Lacrosse Club, taxi licenses, and an amusement operating license for the Ringside Pub.

The Grover Cleveland Middle School Ecology Club will also be presenting.

Ordinances up for discussion or adoption include 1284-14, which would establish a “police auxiliary unit and [prescribe] appropriate terms, conditions and regulations associated therewith;” and 1285-14, which would amend the portion of borough code that governs “registration and inspection of apartment units.”

The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 4, at 7 p.m. in the council chambers at 1 Provost Square in Caldwell.
