Cadillac Sought in New Year's Eve Hit and Run

West Caldwell Police believe a dark blue Cadillac STS may have struck two teen girls.

West Caldwell Police have issued file photos of the type of car they believe was involved in a hit and run accident that injured two teenage girls on New Year's Eve.

The car is believed to be a dark blue 2005-2007 Cadillac STS, according to police. It may be missing a passenger side headlamp glass and passenger side mirror glass.

One of the injured teenagers was transported to St. Joseph's Medical Center in Paterson for treatment of serious, but not life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The girls were walking along Smull Avenue at about 8:45 p.m. with five other teenagers when they were hit by a car that never stopped. 

Anyone who sees a car that matches this description is asked to contact the West Caldwell Police Department Detective Bureau at 973-226-4114 and provide a plate number if possible.
