Small Plane Lands Safely on Fairway of West Caldwell Golf Course

There were no injuries on board the single-engine plane or on the ground Saturday afternoon.

A single-engine plane experienced engine trouble Saturday afternoon but managed to land safely on a West Caldwell golf course just short of the Essex County Airport.

The 62-year-old pilot, his 16-year-old student and golfers at the Mountain Ridge Country Club were not injured as the plane touched down on the fifth fairway, according to NJ.com.
