A Caldwell man reported missing two weeks ago has been found and reunited with his family, according to police.
Marcos “Giacomo” Alotto, 35, was located Thursday night in Bergen County and is "healthy and okay," Chief James Bongiorno said Friday morning.
Police would not release details about where Alotto was found for privacy reasons.
But family had been concerned about him being out of touch for so long considering he spoke Italian and very few words in English and had been off medication for depression and anxiety for many months.
Alotto was reported missing on Oct. 5 by his family who said he left his apartment at about 11 p.m. on foot the night before.
Missing person signs with his photograph and description were posted all over Caldwell as well as neighboring towns in hopes of finding him.
"We would like to thank the public for all of their help in helping us locate him," Bongiorno said.
