Cops: Five Teens Busted with Pot at West Essex High School
Teens arrested after allegedly dealing marijuana in cafeteria and bathroom.
Five teens were arrested at West Essex High School after cops said they were caught with a “significant amount” of pot Friday.
Cops said they discovered a “transfer of drugs” between students in the high school cafeteria as well as a male bathroom, according to The Alternative Press. North Caldwell police also said they recovered a “significant amount of marijuana” and paraphernalia.
The teens—all were either 15 or 16 years old—were arrested, processed and released to parents or guardians on Friday.

They were charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, distribution of a CDS on school property, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to make proper disposition of CDS, according to the report.
The five teens are likely to be charged as juveniles and have their cases adjudicated in family court in Newark.
