Caldwell Police To Help Make Bloomfield Avenue Safer On Halloween

President of the Caldwell Merchants Association applauded the announcement.

Trick-or-treaters will get a helping hand from the The Caldwell Police Department this Halloween. 

Caldwell police officers and auxiliary police will be on Bloomfield Avenue to assist trick-or-treaters cross the busy thoroughfare between 2-6 p.m. on Thursday, according to the Caldwell Police Department Facebook page. 

President of the Caldwell Merchants Association applauded the announcement in the post. 

"It has become a tradition for the merchants in Caldwell to hand out candy or other treats on Halloween" said Cowell in the Facebook post. "It can become quite crowded and we are delighted to have the assistance from the Auxiliary Police crossing the Avenue.
