Dear Mr. & Mrs. Martin, My day was going well the typical mother caring for our 2 year old, and waiting for our other child, (8). However, my day was starting well, until I got on FACEBOOK, and tears are now on my face. My heart is broken and will until I can face reality. Sometimes we do not want the reality to happen or it is hard to believe. This is all I have been saying to my husband and now my dear friend, Mike will always be in my heart and mind. Yes, I have lost contact cause of personal reasons and I am truely sorry. However, I am truely sad of this news. Mike Martin was one of the best friend I have ever known. He was a great listener, he always had a smile on his face. People are right that we will miss his smile and his intellect and the great conversations we had with him. All the years I have known Mike, I never had a problem with him. He was a very dear friend and helped me through my troubles. Till this day, he was one who always took the time to listen to me. I still say, he had so much going for him and more. I hope he accomplished a lot in his lifetime. I will never forget his face, and right now I am remembering good times we had at school and beyond the school years. Mike how I miss you right now, and my heart is sad. Prayers are with your family. Sincerely, Mrs. Laura Hernandez/Fischer

I am so sorry to hear about Michael's passing. He was a wonderful friendly guy who always stopped to talk. I remember he helped my Bryan years ago when Wilson School had the summer program for special needs kids. When I went to Blockbuster Michael always remembered me and asked about Bryan. God bless a wonderful person.

Dear Martin Family, Mike will be sorely missed! I first met Mike at Essex County College in West Caldwell several years ago. He was always helpful to other student and shared a friendly smile. I had along conversation with Mike in March at Caldwell College, as usual, he was eager to complete his studies and spoke of his enjoyment attending school there. I will think of him often and remember him and his family in prayers!
