Clay Felten of West Caldwell

Mr. Felten, 52, died on Friday.

The following obituary was submitted by the Felton family:

Clay Felten, 52, of West Caldwell entered into Eternal Rest on Friday, Aug. 31, 2012 surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Hialeah, Fla., Clay lived in Little Ferry, NJ before moving to West Caldwell, NJ 18 years ago.

He served in the US Army and worked as Regional Field Supervisor for Legow Management in Livingston, NJ for many years, and enjoyed working on many home improvement projects.

He loved his family and always put them first. There was nothing he enjoyed more than being with his wife and daughters, and doting on his beloved and loyal pet “Coco”.

He enjoyed vacationing and riding his motorcycle and was a big Miami Dolphins fan. He had a great heart and always helped those in need. Clay was loved by all who knew him.

Clay is survived by his devoted wife of 21 years, Maria; cherished daughters, Tara, Amanda and Samantha; father, Gene Felten, and sisters, Debbie Hiesel, Darlene Reed and Becky Dean, and many extended family and friends.

There will be a private memorial for the family.

I worked with Clay for a number of years. He was a good man, great father and husband. I personally will miss the jabs of humor we had with one another over football. RIP my friend. Gary.
