Look'n for Good News

Have you ever wondered how weather reports can be so wrong sometimes? We’ve all heard forecasts of a foot of snow that end up being a dusting, or a sunny afternoon that is spoiled by rain showers.  I have heard weather forecasters talk about a coming storm, and that people need to prepared, nonetheless there is little we can do prepare for large hail stones falling out of the sky or the windstorm that could blow trees over in our yards unexpectedly.

As helpful, or unhelpful as the weather forecasters may be, there is a forecast that we can depend on for life. In the midst of uncertainty about the stock market, national security, housing values, our personal safety, and stories on the news that we wouldn’t believe unless we saw them with our own two eyes, there is some good news. The forecast that I believe the Bible gives us is that there will be difficulties and trying times, but whether it is sunny outside or it feels like the winds are blowing, the rain is falling, and maybe even your world is shaking, as long as we have our life built on a solid foundation we will still be left standing. So today, the forecast is that you can be ready for whatever life may bring your way. When our lives are built on the solid rock of God’s plan, we can withstand any type of weather and have our hope in God’s faithfulness.
