The Jackals Experience

The Jackals Experience is a blog all about New Jersey Jackals baseball at Yogi Berra Stadium in Little Falls, NJ. Come out for Major League Fun at Minor League prices!!

The New Jersey Jackals returned home to the confines of Yogi Berra Stadium on Thursday night after a four day road trip to take on the Gary South Shore Railcats. The Jackals finished up a five game set with the Rockland Boulders in Rockland winning 6-5 last Sunday. The Jackals then went on a three game tear in Worcester last week beating the Tornadoes 10-4, 12-1 and 8-7 on consecutive days. It was dollar beer night at the stadium on Thursday as fans came out in bulk for dollar draft beers and dollar fountain drinks. Friday night got rained out which set up a double header on Saturday. CanAm League rules state that double headers are two seven inning games. Game one ended in a Jackals 6-5 win in an exciting ten innings!! The second one ended in a Jackals 3-0 loss which had to be finished on Sunday. The fireworks had to be shot off before 11pm because of the Little Falls town ordinance. The Fireworks were a huge success though. A group of nine interns and Jack the Jackal did an amazing dance routine before the fireworks inspired by the youtube hit “Evolution of Dance”. It even got on an ESPN Blog! The Jackals lost on Sunday 9-6 but it was a fun day as Yogi Berra Stadium celebrated Christmas in July. Christmas music was played through out the nine innings and Santa Clause even made a visit. The Jackals have three more home games during this home stand. Come out and support the Jackals on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday as they take on the Worcester Tornadoes. Monday and Tuesday start at 7:05pm and Wednesday’s first pitch time is 11:05am.
