Fairfield's Banyan School Students Board the 'Santa Express'

The students were invited to attend the Santa Express train by The Railmen for Children.

Students of the Banyan Elementary and Middle School were treated to a train ride to the North Pole on Friday, Dec. 6th.

Maybe not quite that far, but it seemed that way as the students boarded the “Santa Express” along with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, Rudolph, the Christmas Mouse and Bear, lots of Christmas Elves and silly clowns.

The Banyan students boarded the train at the Newark-Broad Street Station and were dropped off at the Little Falls station, where they enjoyed a photo op with Santa and Rudolph. Holiday music and laughter could be heard throughout the train ride!

The students were invited to attend the Santa Express train by The Railmen for Children. This is a nonprofit organization comprised of train conductors and engineers who fundraise throughout the year in order to provide special needs children with a magical, holiday train ride.

Each child enjoyed a special lunch and was given an individualized holiday present from Santa. It was obvious that the Railmen where having just as much fun as the kids!
